| The Aldersyde is a family run hotel for those looking for basic clean accommodation, a friendly "locals" bar, golf, fishing, walking or just a break from the grind. Entertainment is provided on a regular basis, Details can be found in the Entertainment Guide. The Isle of Arran is located an hour ferry's ride from Ardrossan, not far from Glasgow. The island has 10 peaks over 600m and a coastal road. The Isle of Arran is the largest island in the Firth of Clyde and is part of Buteshire. It is approximately 20 miles long by 12 miles broad. Lofty cliffs rising in the south and southwest, with steep granite peaks and narrow glens occupying the north, afford some magnificent scenery. ------------------------------ |
